Christ Episcopal Church Welcomes You!

We are a community of faith striving to love God fully and our neighbors as ourselves.

"Come unto me, all ye that travail and are heavy laden, and I will refresh you."  -- Matthew 11:28

Thank you for visiting Christ Church!  While no website can fully convey the true spirit of a church, we hope that by exploring this site you can gain a better view into our Christian community of transformed people. Please consider this to be an invitation to you to come worship with us and share our fellowship joyfully praising Christ in a caring and compassionate family of Christians.

Sunday Worship Service

Christ Episcopal Church offers one Holy Eucharist, Rite I service at 10:30 on Sunday mornings, in the Sanctuary and streamed via Facebook Live. For in-person attendees, masks are recommended but required only for unvaccinated adults.

We look forward to sharing our worship with you!

Bible Study and Sunday School

Our Sunday morning Bible study meets at 9:30 in the Parish House. We will begin considering the story of David, the musical shepherd who became the most celebrated King of Israel. In reading through much of the Books of Samuel, we will reflect on how David is both an exemplar and a cautionary tale. All are welcome and encouraged to attend as your presence allows; no preparation ahead of time is necessary.

Monday Bible Study

Our Monday evening Bible study (which meets from 7:00 to 8:00 in the Parish House) resumes on April 8. We are reading through the Gospel of Luke, and that evening we will begin Chapter 6, in which Jesus teaches about the Sabbath and offers the Sermon on the Plain. All are welcome and encouraged to attend as you can; no preparation ahead of time is required.

MHC Warming Center

Opportunity to Serve in our Community:

As temperatures have started dipping in the '30's, the Warming Center season has begun. In order for them to open each night, they MUST have volunteers to serve every volunteer role, every night. Through our Mission Committee, our church has donated funds to support operating needs that arise during the season. In addition to giving of our treasure, we invite you to further live into our church's mission through giving of our time and our hearts: "We are a community of faith striving to love God fully and our neighbors as ourselves."

Here is the link to review the schedule of available volunteer slots and to register here:

If you have not already attended a volunteer training session this season but would still like to volunteer, you may sign up. They just ask that you arrive an hour before your volunteer session begins so they can go through the training with you and show you the ropes before your shift begins.

Beverly and Geoge Lyle have kicked off the registration by committing to an intake shift on Monday, December 11 and registering to bring a meal that evening on behalf of the church. If you'd like to help with that meal prep, please contact Beverly at beverly.lyle1@gmail.com. If you'd like to take ownership of other meal prep nights on behalf of the church, please indicate Christ Episcopal Church in the comments upon registration, and we can coordinate together to rally parishioners to support.

If you have any questions or feedback, please contact Beverly Lyle by text, phone, or email at 917-208-1968 or beverly.lyle1@gmail.com.
